The soil mechanics laboratory, based on the expertise and scientific capabilities of its faculty members, can design and manufacture conventional and advanced soil mechanics laboratory and in-situ testing devices. This has already led to development of advanced testing devices including static and cyclic element testing machines, 1g shaking table, geotechnical centrifuge shaking table, fault simulator for geotechnical centrifuge, static and cyclic axial and lateral loading system in geotechnical centrifuge and a miniature CPT for geotechnical centrifuge applications.
